The University of Stuttgart (founded in 1829) is one of the top 9 technical universities in Germany (TU9) with highly-regarded engineering programs, and is ranked in the top 16 universities in Germany (QS 2019). The "birthplace of the automobile", Stuttgart has a strong reputation in high-tech innovation and research and is home to many of the world's largest automotive companies. It also maintains its standing as one of the top 2 safest cities in the country, and is conveniently located an hour from the Black Forest (Schwarzwald). 1. 3 ECTS missing
The first and most important issue concerns the 3 ECTS gap. At UNIBG, the total required credits are 63 ECTS, while in Stuttgart you complete 60 ECTS. The missing 3 ECTS correspond to: Professional Digital Skills

Each subject is structured with: a Vorlesung (lecture) and Tutorials (exercise session / application session). Both components are important and complementary and tutorials are not optional since those lessons are not recorded.
5. Only one exam attempt per session
There is only one exam date per course per semester and there are no multiple “appelli” like in Italy.
6. Administrative side
From a bureaucratic perspective, the German system is structured and formal. However, the German program coordinator is extremely kind, supportive, and helpful. She will clearly explain procedures, deadlines, and administrative steps.
